Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff now available on Android

Have you ever played The Simpsons: Tapped Out? Imagine that concept, but with Family Guy in place of The Simpsons. If that interests you, the new Family Guy The Quest for Stuff game is a thing you should download and play.

The premise of the game is that Peter has once again gotten into a fight with the chicken. I'll leave it up to you to decide if that bit is still funny. At any rate, Quahog is destroyed in the process, and it's up to you to rebuild it. You'll go through town fixing stuff up and solving everyone's problems to earn money and experience.

The game contains animations and jokes developed by the Family Guy writers, as well as in-app purchases developed by heartless executives who want your money. Clams are the premium currency in Family Guy The Quest for Stuff, and you can buy bundles of them for $1.99-99.99. Hey, no one's twisting your arm.

Angry Birds Epic : a Turn-Based RPG ?

After a kart racing spin off and another mystery title named Angry Birds Stella, Rovio has added yet another game and genre to its Angry Birds lineup with Angry Birds Epic.

Although still largely under wraps, early information for the game reveals it will take the form of an adventure RPG.

According to Kotaku, the game will feature a turn-based battle system and 'extensive' crafting, typical to the RPG genre. A lone screenshot appears to show a team of birds facing off against a pack of pigs in a battle, with bars indicating their health.
A teaser image on Angry Birds Nest describes players' ability to "craft amazing battle-winning weapons like a wooden sword, frying pan or stick thingy with a sponge on top".
Players will also apparently level up their characters, armor and weapons as they win battles, and use potions to enhance their abilities.
There will be a "fantasy Piggy Island" to explore, and player classes including Mage and Knight birds. The game will be soft-launched in Canada and New Zealand this month for testing, ahead of a global launch later in 2014.

Dead Trigger 2 Holiday Update

Madfinger's Dead Trigger 2 has remained near the top of the game charts on Android since its release a couple of months ago, and the developers continue to update it regularly. The last update focused on balance issues, but this one adds the most content yet, most notably the new China environment. This addition includes new Story and Warfare missions and extra challenges, plus Google Play Games achievements.

You also get several handfuls of melee weapons for when you inevitably run out of ammo and/or chickens. The Big Hammer and Butterfly Swords seem like they'll be the most fun, but Danny Trejo fans can also cause a little carnage with the Machete. Madfinger says that there are now 30 different weapons and 150 gameplays in Dead Trigger 2. If you play throughout the holidays you might notice some limited-edition Christmas presents, though the developers are keeping mum on their contents for the moment.

The original Dead Trigger is also receiving an update, primarily to add support for more high-resolution phones and tablets. It also updates the game to remove a bug in the equip menu and refreshes support for Facebook, Twitter, TapJoy and Chartboost. Rest easy, holiday travelers - you'll have plenty of reason to ignore your friends and family this yuletide.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Coming To Android In December

Do you have an affinity for the early 90s? Rockstar Games is preparing to take you back in time with GTA: San Andreas, which is coming to Android in December. This isn't just a straight port, though. Rockstar is doing some work to make the experience of playing San Andreas (which is a massive game) better on a mobile device.

GTA: San Andreas was by far the biggest GTA game of the PS2 era, so the developers have reworked the checkpoints to make it easier to advance. The graphics have also gotten a boost with improved textures, draw distances, and shadows. The game will fully support controllers with little to no fooling around in menus.
Rockstar didn't give an exact date, but it should only be a few weeks. However, the title will only be available on "select" Android devices, including some versions of the Kindle Fire. Most of Rockstar's games start out with support for a few phones and tablets before expanding a few weeks after release. Hopefully your device is deemed worthy.

Asphalt 8: Airborne Now Available for Android Users

After being teased for quite some time now, Gameloft’s latest installment in the popular Asphalt series of racing games is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices.

Already considered one of the best Android arcade racing game series in the world, Asphalt reaches a new turning point with the launch of Asphalt 8: Airborne, Gameloft claims.
The new title brings along a brand new experience to mobile users, with dynamic, high-speed aerial stunts, powered by a brand-new physics engine.

There are 47 high-performance cars included in the game, with 80 percent of them being new ones, coming from top licensed manufacturers, including Lamborghini Veneno, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FXX and Pagani Zonda R.

Furthermore, the game promises newly recorded high-fidelity car motor sounds, as well as 9 different settings to drive through, such as Venice, French Guiana, Iceland, the Nevada Desert and other exciting locations (mirror mode available for all tracks in Carrier mode).

Android users will also enjoy 8 seasons and 180 events in the Career mode, new Infected and Drift Gate game modes, and a detailed damage system, as well as great visuals, courtesy of next-gen shaders, real-time geometry reflection and other effects.

Other features of the mobile game include:

- Hit the ramps and take the race above the track
- Perform barrel rolls and wild 360º jumps
- Maneuver through the air and pull stunts while racing
- Simultaneous multiplayer action for up to 8 real opponents!
- Dare friends to asynchronous races in your favorite cars
- Compare scores on the new leaderboards with friends and drivers around the world
- Share your racing achievements and prove that you’re the ultimate speed machine

Gameloft also promises great music in this game, with licensed tracks from Bloc Party, Mutemath & The Crystal Method. Overall, fans of extreme arcade racing should really enjoy the new title, the company says.

Real Racing 3 new update

EA isn't letting its mega mobile racing franchise stagnate. The latest update to Real Racing 3 is version 1.3, adding iconic muscle cars from Dodge and Shelby. Four cars have been added to the roster: the 1969 Dodge Charger RT, 1971 Dodge Challenger RT, 1966 Shelby AC Cobra 427 (I think - going by a screenshot and some Wikipedia sleuthing), and the 1967 Mustang Cobra GT500.
According to the What's New text, there are also new events, new difficulty settings, tweaks to car physics and cameras, and "additional social networking options." Posters on the FireMonkeys developer forum say that means Google+ integration, as a G+ sign-in option has been added to the Settings page.
The rest of the game remains intact, time-based IAP upsell and all. It's still free to play, though you'll need to spend a lot of time getting in-game credits (including the exceedingly rare gold coins) if you want to unlock the new muscle cars without spending real money. Real Racing 3 is compatible with most newer devices running 2.3 and up. International readers, note the separate Google Play Store listing.

An iconic generation of cars joins Real Racing 3’s diverse garage, with the introduction of timeless classics from Dodge and Shelby.
• A collection of classic V8 muscle cars
• New events
• Difficulty tuning
• Visual physics enhancements
• Improved cameras
• Additional social networking options

Asphalt 8: Airborne is coming tomorrow

Asphalt 8: Airborne is coming to iOS and Android tomorrow, and Gameloft has just released the latest trailer for the adrenaline-packed racer where you’d be able to jump off platforms and defy gravity with your car for a few sweet moments.

It comes with even better graphics of near console grade quality. The new Asphalt 8 will also be optimized to run on the new Nexus 7 with its amazing 1920 x 1200 ‘Retina’ display.

The new Asphalt will feature a brand new realistic physics engine, a whopping 180 events, 47 cars and new game modes. Asphalt 8: Airborne supports simultaneous online multiplayer, but you can also race friends in asynchronous challenges, and all of that is tracked in leaderboards.

The game has eight maps and seven of them are brand new. You’ll get to experience racing in the Nevada desert, the busy streets of London, Tokyo and drive through frozen tracks in Iceland. The last, eighth map is a renewed map of Monaco. All of that racing comes with new weather effects for more immersive experience.

Asphalt 8: Airborne will cost $0.99 at launch tomorrow and we’ll update you as soon as it’s out.

New game : Skiing Fred

Fred has gotten around. He's fallen from great heights, he's run across great distances, and now he's hitting the slopes in Skiing Fred. Granted, after watching the trailer for this new release, we see that skiing really isn't all that different than falling. Fred's still scared of the Grim Reaper, and there will still be blood. Fred will bleed onto pristine snow, get hit by meteors, and dissolve into rivers of molten lava.

You play Skiing Fred by tilting your phone. Jumping is performed by tapping on the right side of the screen, and braking occurs by tapping on the left. It's a simple setup, and while tilting hardly gives you pinpoint control of Fred, it works well enough to be playable (though the game suggests that you can play it best using the NVIDIA Shield). The graphics are bright and vibrant, albeit basic. This download is under 40MB, and it shows. But looking past that, this game runs smoothly, deviates from the usual Temple Run formula, and is rich with unlockables. Players can also sign in with their Google accounts and share their skills with the world.

Gangstar Vegas

unnamed (23)Gameloft Releases Gangstar Vegas, Their Most GTA-Like GTA Clone Yet, For $6.99

If you haven't played Gangstar Rio, it's basically Gameloft's attempt to recreate a popular existing franchise. That describes about 95% of Gameloft's app library (I'll stop teasing them when they start having ideas of their own), but in this case, it's a riff on Grand Theft Auto, Saints Row, and the rest of the open-world crime genre. The sequel, Gangstar Vegas, was just published in the Play Store. Seven bucks gets you a bigger, better crime simulator, assuming your device is compatible and you've got a whopping 2.5GB of free space.
As the title implies, the new game moves the crime-driven story to Las Vegas, or at least simulacrum of the entertainment capital of the world. The story follows an ex-MMA fighter who gets on the wrong side of a few gangsters, and has to resort to various driver jobs, heists, and grizzly acts of violence to get by. In a rare show of the story actually affecting the gameplay, your character uses his MMA skills for some punishing hand-to-hand combat while on foot. Of course, there's nothing stopping you from using good old-fashioned lead or a handy cement truck (the gentleman's weapon) to dispatch your foes.
unnamed (10) unnamed (12) unnamed (13) unnamed (14)
The game's play area is nine times larger than Gangstar Rio, with some familiar, off-brand Vegas casino landmarks all along the strip. The buildings from the screenshots look like The Berragio, Nero's Palace, The Luxxor, et cetera. Graphics are pretty good, though the huge nature of sandbox games is limiting in that respect - I'd say they're a bit better than the original Xbox, with the popular Havok engine handling game physics. In addition to the standard open-world carnage and achievements, you can kick back with a series of casino mini-games. Gangstar Vegas features full voice-over and a soundtrack from Skrillex, Kavinsky, and Chromatics, among others.
